I agree that in all my interpretations of an astrological chart, personal or mundane, in private and in public, I will be guided by the highest principles of honor and integrity, and I will exercise tact and good judgement, not only in the manner of interpretation, but also in withholding or modifying information which may not be in the interest of the individual or of the general public.

I will satisfy myself, to the best of my ability, that the purposes of the person who asks my help are of a legitimate character and I will sever my connection with him, whenever I find that he intends to use Astrology to pursue objects of a questionable nature.

I agree to hold inviolate any confidences reposed in me, or any confidential or private information obtained by me through astrological means.

I agree not to discuss or write about the horoscopes of individuals in a public forum unless: (a) they are public individuals whose birth data is in the public domain; or (b) if the individuals are not in the public domain, I have permission from them to use the information.

I agree to make a clear distinction at all times between the improper use of Astrology as a pretense of powers to predict specific future events with absolute certainty, and to its proper use as a technique for determining the probabilities in human events. I further agree that if my conclusions include the use of other techniques in addition to Astrology, I will indicate this fact where appropriate.

I agree to share any discoveries, insights or knowledge of Astrology that I may gather to expand and refine this body of astrological knowledge and I will refrain from promulgating precipitous or speculative theories as astrological truth until they have withstood the test of time and experience.

I agree to make no use of Astrology in connection with promotional schemes or business practices that would be regarded as unethical in any professional field.

I agree to employ no letters or titles in connection with my name to suggest or indicate academic or professional standing, expect those recognized by the Association and professional organizations which support those standings.

I agree to make every possible effort to contravene false or exaggerated presentations of Astrology, either by protesting directly to those responsible for such presentations or by reporting all facts and details at once to the Association for its action, or both.
